The High Council Meeting of Fenerbahçe took place at Faruk Ilgaz Sports Complex. Fenerbahçe Chairman Sadettin Saran addressed the council members with a heartfelt speech. Here are his remarks:
“The evaluations being made here today are valuable for us. We are entering a critical period in which we will see the results of our efforts in all arenas. It wasn’t an easy night, we’ve been away for a long time. I didn’t agree with it. Every Fenerbahçe fan… there’s a place for everyone here. But we can’t consume each other. Our battlefield is the field. We’ll see how everything has changed on the day we win. Today marks the completion of 206 days of duty for me. The criticisms against us are on my head. Yes, we made mistakes, we had shortcomings because we are human. But no one should doubt that whatever we did was for the good of Fenerbahçe. We won’t be able to pay for anything we can’t account for. Our hearts are steadfast.
We came to this task to make Fenerbahçe the champion. If we can’t accomplish this mission, we’re here to share the burden and pave the way. The 27-year tenure between the two chairmen bothered me, so I took the reins. We’re not just armchair supporters for Fenerbahçe. We’ll discuss everything at the end of the season. But for now, we have four remaining matches to complete our mission. We must persevere and face the challenges together.
